Day 11 - Your Words Matter
People will be rewarded for what they say, and they will also be rewarded for what they do.
What you say about your husband does matter. No, you can not say everything that comes to mind. What you speak, is it positive; so much so that those who hear you are encouraged to get married, stay married or even fight for their own marriage. You are a reflection of your husband. You both should compliment each other, together and apart. What you say about him speaks value about you. Let your words be fruitful.
By now, you may be tired, you may be running out of ways to appreciate your husband, you may even have temporarily laid it down because you haven't seen results. Let me encourage you. The devil thought that if he threw a little opposition your way, you'd quit. He thought that you wouldn't get past that first week. Boy, was he surprised! But GREATER us HE that is in YOU than he that is in the world. So he had to throw you some curve balls...he tried to make you think that this thing should be equal, that your husband should be appreciating you too! But let me remind you of something. The devil HATES obedience to God's Word. So, he has thrown EVERYTHING AND the kitchen sink at you to get you to stop, to get you to quit and just plain give up. But God is honoring your persistence, He is honoring your commitment, He is honoring His Word and stepping into your marriage. Those marriages that were teetering are getting stronger; those marriages that were already strong are now more appreciative. God is changing your perspective. He is teaching you to walk confidently in newness and positivity and changing the way you are looking and perceiving your marriage and your mate. Perception is a powerful thing. It can cause life to spring out of your mouth or it can kill a thing DEAD. The determination today is gratefulness and thankfulness. First, thank God for the endurance to complete this challenge (you are actually halfway there!), next, encourage your husband, ask God to show you a new way to romance him, cuddle his heart, touch his spirit or ease his mind. You'd be surprised how it is the little things that mean a lot (you have found this to be true right!) If you begin to speak those things by faith that are not as though they were, you will be surprised at the mountains that will move. Just a thankful thought for today!
