Day 17 – Relationship, Role & Responsibility
For wives, this means submit (yield, understand & support) to your husbands as to the Lord. Ephesians 5:22; and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:33b
Your relationship with the Lord helps you to be the Godly wife you need to be. If you would respectfully submit unto the Lord, you can submit to your husband and his leadership. God made us/called us to help our husbands; to display in the earth what a Godly marriage looks like and to fulfill purpose in our marriage and our lives. God created each and every one of us to bring glory to Him.
Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to live alone. I will make a suitable companion to help him.” Genesis 2:18
Day 18 – Do you know him?
As his wife, it would be to our benefit to learn our husbands likes and dislikes. Do you know what turns him on and what will turn him completely off? Do you ever take time to watch and study your husband? Study means learn, investigate, to discover facts about something; to pursue knowledge of.
My husband doesn’t care for salt in his food and he’s not a big sweets (junk food/snacks) eater. So, I would be foolish to cook a meal and add large amounts of salt, knowing this is something he dislikes. He would never eat my cooking LOLJ. Take time to really get to know your husband. Do things for him you know he likes and add a special touch to it when you present it. Nothing touches the heart like seeing your husband smiling, happy and satisfied. To know him is to love him!
How can you appreciate your husband today? Study him, take notes and then take action. It will bless your marriage.
