“What works in one women’s marriage may not work in yours. All marriages are not created to be the same.”
Like many of you, going through the assessment list, I found out there is still a lot for me to work on. I just thank God that He has me in a place where I am ready to receive correction and teaching.
The “disciple” assessment I have to say the first three questions I really want to fully commit myself back to my first love. I do not pray, study the Word or consult God on decisions like I know I should.
The “household manager” assessment I find that is something I enjoy. I love to have our home clean, smelling fresh and free from clutter; a place to relax, with a comfortable setting. My motto is: “everything has a place”.
The “communicator” assessment is find that I need to work on questions #3, #5, #6, and #10. I already know I don’t handle disagreements well. I’m always so defensive. So, Lord search my heart and show me how to overcome in those areas.
The “confident and assured woman” assessment I found that my biggest challenge is: “Do I handle life’s challenges and problems gracefully” and the truth is, I don’t. I don’t do well under stressful times. Stress overwhelms me and it shows in my attitude, body language, tone and my appearance. I need a lot of work in this area.
So, how well did you do as you went through the assessments? Where do you feel you need to improve the most?
Father God, we thank you for this day, for your grace and your mercy. God we thank you that this morning we woke up with you in our minds and hearts. Father God, I pray for my sisters that you will answer their prayers as they reach out to you, wanting to be better wives and mothers. Lord, show each of us where we have fallen short and then give us the grace to mature in those areas. We count in done. In the wonderful name of Jesus…Amen!
