“Many times, more strength is required to respond with self-control than to react.”
The task for the day was not to argue with your husband for the entire day. This was a breeze for me because we are currently separated. But I can remember times when I did shoot off at the mouth before thinking and those times were often. I like how Nina referred to a woman being wise because she learns how to wait for God to teach her spouse. I know for me this can be difficult. Why? Because at the time, what I’m telling him I know is right. But he’ll never grasp it or understand it at that particular moment because it’s not the right time or the way I said it can completely turned him off from receiving what I had to say. Lord, teach me to exercise self-control each day, especially with my husband. Before I react, teach me to stop and think. Many times a disagreement escalates into an argument because I have to be right, Mrs. Know it all and nothing good comes out of it. In every situation, show me who I am or who I’ve become. Today, I hide James 1:19 in my heart. In Jesus name…Amen!
