Kamila’s passion for marriage begun during the early stages of her marriage. Dealing with loneliness and neglect in her own marriage, she redirected her energy into creating a ministry that would not only encourage her but also inspire couples to prioritize their spouse and marriage.
Your Marriage Is Your First Ministry was birthed in 2011 on Facebook. During a rough season of discouragement, the page was deactivated and then deleted. Kamila felt a strong urge to return as she regained her strength and later created an Instagram page in 2012. She’s received many testimonies from followers on how a post or prayer encouraged them and gave a clearer perceptive into their situation.
Marriage is beautiful, God-ordained, yet marriage is not absent of challenges. For better or for worse yet blessed to enjoy more good days than bad days. Marriage can be a little more challenging when husband and wife are not walking together in unity, or one spouse is a believer, and the other spouse is not. I understand the position of a husband or wife who desires to stand for their marriage despite the hardships. But also feeling defeated because of the resistance one is experiencing with their spouse. A reminder to you, there is hope.
Kamila is devoted to the ministry God has given her. She loves Christ and desires to help couples better understand, “and the two shall become one”. Kamila has a heart for wives especially those who are spiritually unequally yoked. She helps bring 1 Peter 3:1 to life and teaches how to apply the Word of God by faith to every circumstance.
Although her marriage ended in divorce, Kamila still believes in Godly marriage and the power of prayer. Outside of ministry, Kamila loves to sing (karaoke), dance, bowl, roller skate and eat crabs. She is a Baltimore Ravens football fan. Kamila is a homebody but enjoys being with friends and family. To know her is to love her.
